Victor Ferraz has announced his retirement from professional football at 38, bringing down the curtain on a decorated career. According to Globo.com, the former Santos and Grêmio right-back, who also featured in midfield, finished his playing days with Serra Branca in the 2026 Paraíba state championship.
Ferraz spent the past two seasons with Serra Branca, who will compete in Série D in 2026. He made 19 appearances in the Campeonato Paraibano, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
At the end of 2025, he said he hoped to sign off with the state title, but the club were knocked out in the semi-finals by Botafogo-PB.
Born in João Pessoa, he came through Iraty’s youth ranks before spells with São José-RS, Águia de Marabá, Atlético-GO, Vila Nova, Bragantino, Coritiba, Santos, Grêmio, Náutico, Chapecoense, Tacuary in Paraguay, and Serra Branca.
His standout years came between 2015 and 2021 with Santos and Grêmio, where he won state titles twice at both clubs. His honours include the Campeonato Goiano in 2011, Campeonato Paranaense in 2013, Campeonato Paulista in 2015 and 2016, Campeonato Gaúcho in 2020 and 2021, and the Recopa Gaúcha in 2021.
Away from the pitch, the Paraibano runs VF4-PB, founded in 2018 with a focus on youth development. Post-retirement he is expected to focus on qualifying as a coach, having earned a CBF Academy Licence B in Paraguay and taken Conmebol courses. Across his career he played 598 games, scoring 24 goals with 38 assists.
