Victor Osimhen has decided to stay at Galatasaray beyond this summer despite strong interest from Arsenal, according to French outlet Foot Mercato. Mikel Arteta has the Nigerian on his wishlist as the Gunners are desperate to bring a new striker to the Emirates Stadium club. Arsenal have Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez on their radar, but signing the Argentine has proven tricky all summer as he wants to join Barcelona. The North London club have other striking targets in mind but Osimhen has no plans on leaving the Super Lig this summer.

He is excited with the project at the club, with the imminent arrival of Portuguese attacker Rafael Leao from AC Milan playing a key role in his decision. The Gunners will now hope to clinch a deal for Alvarez, but Manchester City are keen on bringing him back following the departure of Omar Marmoush. Arsenal also have Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford on their radar, with a potential loan deal mooted for the England international. However, the Englishman is unlikely to leave the Red Devils temporarily again and manager Michael Carrick appears keen on giving him a chance.
