Video: Amorim arrives at Milan training ground and poses alongside Cardinale | OneFootball

Ruben Amorim has arrived at Milan’s training centre and has posed for a series of photos alongside owner Gerry Cardinale as the Portuguese begins his new chapter as the head coach of the Rossoneri.

Amorim was appointed the new head coach of Milan on an initial two-year contract in mid-June. He replaces Massimiliano Allegri, who was dismissed alongside sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada and CEO Giorgio Furlani the day after the 2025-26 season ended.

Amorim arrived in Italy on Monday and is spending his first afternoon at Milanello, the club’s training base, on Tuesday.

He was spotted arriving at the training ground alongside Cardinale on Tuesday afternoon. The pair posed for a series of photos in front of the press outside the entrance of the facility before heading inside to begin work for the 2026-27 season.

“I’m really very happy to be here, it’s an honour to be Milan’s coach,” said Amorim in an interview after arriving in Italy on Monday.

“It’s a big challenge. After the last one I’d promised myself to choose a smaller challenge, but I’m here and it’s even bigger. I’m really proud to be here, I just want to work with my players and my staff, and I’m truly happy to be here. In Milan to win? Of course. If you want to be Milan’s coach, you have to play for that.”
