Carlton Morris completed Luton Town’s unlikely comeback as he drew the game level 2-2 at Kenilworth Road.
Aston Villa took the lead midway through the first half thanks to an Ollie Watkins header from a whipped-in corner before the English striker added his second with a composed finish minutes later.
But characteristically, the home side did not give up as they pulled one back through Tahith Chong in the 66th minute with Morris then grabbing the second just six minutes later.
A result for Luton Town would be crucial in their attempts to remain in the Premier League.
