Filip Jorgensen is a bad goalkeeper and his attempt to save Ryan Gravenberch’s shot was pretty poor, in hindsight.

Chelsea are behind early doors against Liverpool at Anfield. Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen tried and failed to reach a nice striker from Ryan Gravenberch.
The initial TV angle, which you can see in the clip here, made it seem like an unstoppable effort into the top corner.

However, the more we saw of it, the more clear it was that it was pretty central, and a dreadful effort from Jorgensen, who took too many steps to his right then had a weak dive back to his left. You can see that angle here:

Calum McFarlane had to play Jorgensen because Robert Sanchez took such a blow to his head on Monday. You can’t really blame the interim, even thought we’d rather have seen Teddy Sharman-Lowe in hindsight. There’s no way the academy keeper could have done worse on that effort.
Overall, it’s just another black mark against the sporting directors – Jorgensen is terrible and another waste of £20m to add to the list.
Levi Colwill is back starting today, but we’re worried it might be too much of a risk given how little there is to play for.
Chelsea have had “positive first talks” with Xabi Alonso according to Nicolo Schira’s report today, something which will get fans very excited.
