One Chelsea player has recently provided his 5th assist in just the last 3 matches that he has played for club and country last night.
This is currently the third international break in just 11 league games, and although most of us find these boring and frustrating, and also just a plain nuisance to the domestic season and completely unnecessary, it does give a chance for some players who perhaps aren’t playing as much for their clubs as they want to be, to prove themselves and get some good minutes on the board.
Enzo Fernandez has become a ‘B-Team’ player at Chelsea, starting games only for Enzo Maresca’s second string side in cup competitions. But he will be looking to get back into the ‘A-Team’ that starts league games very soon, and a good international break can help that.
Enzo finding some form again
As you can see on X, Fernandez provided another assist for Argentina last night in their 2-1 defeat against Paraguay, and this was now his 5th in his last 3 games for club and country.
Despite being on the losing side last night, those are some very impressive creative stats for him to build momentum with.
