Cole Palmer has drilled in a shot to put Chelsea back in the game against Sunderland!

The home team were 2-0 up and the Blues looked to have almost given up on the game, but Palmer has scored his first goal for some time to get his side back into it.

It’s been another dreadful showing from the Blues, who were actually pretty lucky to be just 2-0 down at that point. We’re happy for Cole, who has had a tough week after being left out of the England squad for the World Cup. This should cheer him up a little.

It was a moment of pure desperation for the Blues really, but Palmer hit it really nice and hard and low and beat Robin Roefs at his near post.

He barely celebrated – how could you, when you’re coming to the end of such a shocking season and you’re 2-0 down at Sunderland?
