Como released video of the speech Cesc Fabregas gave to his squad mere moments after their 2-1 victory away to Fiorentina. ‘We need to believe in each other.’

The coach already took his team to promotion from Serie B and then a comfortable mid-table finish last term, so now he is aiming even higher.

The campaign got off to a strong start, beating Lazio 2-0, then fell 1-0 at Bologna and were held to a late 1-1 draw by Genoa.

They were trailing 1-0 at the Stadio Franchi today, but turned it around for the 2-1 win in stoppages with Marc Oliver Kempf and Jayden Addai.

“If we play like this, believe me when I say, I identify good things,” he said.

“We keep going, but we need to be brave. We need to play with character all the time. We need identity, we need to keep growing. We need to believe in each other.

“The message is: keep growing, keep growing, keep growing, and we’ll be better. That was very difficult, what you did today, very difficult.

“Congratulations, enjoy it, and on Wednesday we want more.”

The game coming up on Wednesday is the Coppa Italia Second Round tie against Sassuolo at the Stadio Sinigaglia.
