Moroccan veteran Hakim Ziyech (32), attacking midfielder for Wydad Casablanca, continues to command attention. The former Ajax Amsterdam star delivered a magnificent goal on Matchday 9 of the Botola Pro, proving once again he remains one of the most gifted players in the Moroccan league.

During Tuesday night’s showdown at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Complex, Ziyech brought Wydad level against AS FAR with a thunderous and pinpoint strike that left the opposing keeper absolutely no chance.

A Ziyech gem not enough for Wydad

Despite this spectacular goal, the Casablanca side couldn’t avoid a home defeat and ultimately fell 2-1 to the military club.

AS FAR took the lead in the 19th minute after an own goal from Wydad defender Walid Sabbar. Wydad responded through Hakim Ziyech, who equalized in the 28th minute with a stunning long-range effort.

In the second half, Youssef El Fahli sealed the win for the visitors with a decisive goal.

This victory takes AS FAR’s tally to 25 points, moving them up to third in the standings, while Wydad remain stuck at 26 points in second place.

It’s also worth noting that the match was marked by Hakim Ziyech’s injury exit in the second half. The Moroccan international was forced off with muscular discomfort and will undergo medical tests to determine the extent of his injury.
