Manchester City star Rodri is delighted that Italy captain Gianluigi Donnarumma has joined the Premier League giants: ‘He makes you feel confident about everything.’

Donnarumma completed a €27m transfer to Manchester City on deadline day and made an impressive debut at his new club, keeping two clean sheets against Manchester United and Napoli.

“He’s massive, and he can catch the ball in the air. He makes you confident about everything. He made an incredible save yesterday [against Napoli]. I’m so chilled he’s there.

“We came from one of the best keepers of this era with Edy [Ederson]. It was massive for us, but I hope Donnarumma does the same because he has the talent for this.”
