Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr was greeted with loud boos from Real Oviedo fans during the pre match warm up in their La Liga clash.

The Brazilian forward was targeted by sections of the home crowd ahead of the second round fixture of the 2025 /26 Spanish league season. Reports from The Athletic confirmed the jeers came as Vinicius prepared with his teammates.

Manager Xabi Alonso opted to leave Vinicius out of the starting lineup choosing instead to field Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo and youngster Franco Mastantono in the attacking trio. Spanish outlets suggested the decision left Vinicius frustrated.
