Arsenal claimed a vital 3-0 victory over Fulham in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts almost took the lead three minutes into the game as Leandro Trossard looked to find the far corner, but his effort flew just wide.

Viktor Gyokeres opened the scoring in the ninth minute after brilliant work by Bukayo Saka, who set him up for a close-range finish.

Gyokeres came close to doubling Arsenal’s lead, but Bernd Leno denied him. Saka fired the rebound wide.

Riccardo Calafiori thought he had doubled the Gunners’ lead after he headed home Trossard’s cross, but his effort was ruled out for offside.

Saka doubled Arsenal’s advantage after being picked out by Gyokeres, finishing neatly into the bottom corner.

Gyokeres added a third after he met Trossard’s cross to head home from close-range.

Raul Jimenez tried his luck from distance after the break, but his powerful strike flew off target. Timothy Castagne then headed wide from Harrison Reed’s corner.

Gyokeres was close to netting a hat-trick after Trossard found him, but Leno thwarted him.

The Cottagers mustered their first attempt on goal as David Raya kept Castagne’s powerful strike out.

Emile Smith Rowe fired wide from a tight angle minutes later.

The Gunners came close to adding a fourth after Calafiori met Noni Madueke‘s corner, but his header came off the bar.

The result moves Arsenal six points clear of Manchester City, who still have two games in hand.
