Artem Dovbyk, after two seasons, could leave Roma.
The Ukrainian striker hasn’t convinced Gian Piero Gasperini, who has entrusted the attack to Malen, who has scored 14 goals in 18 Serie A games, just one fewer than the former Girona player scored in his two seasons with the Giallorossi (15).
Dovbyk wants to put a terrible year behind him, affected by too many injuries that have weakened him.
The 1997-born player missed the entire second half of the season and hasn’t played more than 627 minutes in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
Dovbyk’s future hangs in the balance. Roma, however, cannot make a capital loss on the Ukrainian striker, who still weighs on their balance sheet for €25 million.
In short, any offer lower than that is unlikely to be acceptable to the Roman club.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, Villarreal are interested in the former Girona player: a resurgence of interest for the Spanish club, which will compete in the Champions League next season.
Roma is expecting an offer higher than the one leaked from Turkey, around €10 million, from Trabzonspor.
