Estadio de la Cerámica hosted a lively LaLiga meeting between Villarreal and Real Betis on Monday night, on matchday five. Both sides emerged in shirts backing Ceuta, carrying the slogan 'Todos somos Caballas', in response to the city’s recent migration crisis.
Villarreal president Fernando Roig and CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles welcomed a Betis delegation led by president Ángel Haro, with ambassadors Marcos Senna and Rafael Gordillo also present alongside director of football Miguel Ángel Tena. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the supporters’ group Chequia Groga was recognised before kick-off.
Moncofa took centre stage within the club’s Endavant Província initiative. The Villarreal captain wore a customised armband designed by José Contreras Moya, celebrating the town’s identity, culture and heritage.
Fans from both clubs gathered in the Fan Zone, which featured a three-a-side pitch, a shooting-speed challenge, face painting, crafts, a special Panini sticker activation and an EA Sports play area.
The Groc Talent series continued with a set from Diversos, a band who describe their sound as indie melodies with sharp rock guitars. Nearby, Endavant Solidaritat supported the Asociación Marta y María CLN6, which raises awareness of Batten CLN6, seeks research funding and helps those affected.
