Villarreal B match nine-year mark with 10-game unbeaten run in Primera Federación

Villarreal B have matched a nine-year benchmark, reaching 10 league matches unbeaten in Primera Federación after a home draw with Real Murcia.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, this is their first sequence of this length since early 2017/18.

That earlier run carried the same split, four wins and six draws, with victories over Deportivo Aragón, Peralada, Peña Deportiva and Atlético Baleares. The stalemates came against Valencia Mestalla, Lleida Esportiu, Elche, Olot, Sabadell and Badalona.

David Albelda’s side could extend the streak to 11 tomorrow if they beat Eldense at the Mini Estadi at 18.30 in a fixture postponed from two weeks ago.

If they collect all three points, they would reclaim the play-off place that slipped away last time out.
