Villarreal have learned their eight league-phase opponents for the 2026/27 Champions League, a demanding slate at home and away. La Cerámica will host PSG, Manchester United, Napoli and Sabah, while trips await to Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Fenerbahçe and Slavia Prague.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, PSG will visit La Cerámica in what would be Villarreal's first European meeting with the Parisians. Liverpool await at Anfield, revisiting the 2022 semi-final and pitting Andoni Iraola against Iñigo Pérez, former colleagues at Rayo.

Villarreal seek redemption after 2025/26 brought one point, no wins and seven defeats in eight matches, level bottom with Kairat Almaty. Their Champions League record also features semi-finals in 2005/06 and 2021/22, and the 2008/09 quarter-finals.
