Villarreal make call on Tajon Buchanan’s future | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga outfit Villarreal have made a final call on the future of Tajon Buchanan with the club.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing transfer insider Ekrem Konur, who assures that the Yellow Submarine have no intention of activating their option to buy the Canadian from Inter Milan.

Buchanan for his part made the move to La Cerámica on loan during the January transfer window, for the 2nd half of the campaign.

After enjoying a fine start to life on the books of Villarreal, however, the 26-year-old suffered an ankle injury in early April.

And since, Buchanan has not been able to wrestle back for himself a starting berth.

In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear of those behind the scenes at La Cerámica having come to the decision not to pursue a permanent deal for the winger.

As per a report from MD:

‘According to journalist Ekrem Konur, all chances of the Castellón club exercising its €13 million purchase option for Buchanan have vanished.’
