Villarreal progress with Plaza Font de Morá facade beside La Cerámica | OneFootball

Villarreal CF are advancing work on a new facade at Plaza Font de Morá, next to the Tribuna at La Cerámica on calle Blasco Ibáñez, part of upgrades that began in mid-November.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the project is being developed with the Ayuntamiento de Vila-real and was initially slated to open within two seasons from last July.

Workers on site said yesterday the scheme could even be ready for the start of the 2026/27 campaign, although the final opening date will depend on day-to-day progress.

A standout feature will be an elevated walkway for the players, allowing supporters to see them from the street. Visiting fans already gather in that area before and after matches to catch a glimpse of the teams.

The revamp will let the club repurpose the central zone behind the Tribuna Central for boxes, hospitality areas and catering or restaurant space, in line with the most modern stadiums. That area currently houses the dressing rooms and other work spaces.
