On Wednesday, just before kick-off of Villarreal vs Copenhagen in the Champions League, the Europa League anthem was mistakenly played instead of the Champions League anthem.

The mix-up left both players and fans stunned. Several players looked up in disbelief, clearly surprised by the error. Once the music ended, the crowd at El Madrigal responded with whistles. On the pitch, Villarreal suffered a meltdown: trailing twice, the Spaniards were ultimately defeated 3-2 by Copenhagen, with the decisive goal coming in the 90th minute.
