Montella discusses Yildiz’s potential

As reported by Calciomercato, Montella said: “What is Yildiz’s real role? Does he look more like Del Piero than a No. 10? Even when Alex started out, comparisons to Roby Baggio were rife. He has the talent, the potential of a great player. Yildiz will become one of the world’s top players. Maybe Kenan isn’t a classic No. 10 today, but at that age you change, you transform, and you can play as a No. 10 even starting from the wing and crossing.”

Montella’s comments highlight the flexibility he sees in Yildiz’s game, while also suggesting that the attacker’s position could continue to evolve as he develops. Although he currently operates from the left, his previous experience in central and right-sided roles gives him the ability to adapt.
