Right winger Vini Dias, 18, made his senior debut as Corinthians beat Pulo Futsal 4-0 in the Paulista in Campinas on Tuesday.
According to Meu Timao, the third-round tie at Ginásio Rogê Ferreira saw coach Daniel Magalhães bring him on in the closing minutes, with the Under-20 boss often taking charge early in the state campaign to open doors for academy players.
At Parque São Jorge since 2025 after spells with Santo André and Brazil Under-17, Dias shone last year, helping win the Copa Mundo Under-19 and the Under-18 Paulista against Palmeiras, finishing as Corinthians’ top scorer in the state with 18 goals.
This season he stepped up to the Under-20s, who have five wins from five in their Paulista. The side are one point behind Magnus with a game in hand, and Dias is their second-highest scorer with three goals.
A cost-cutting drive under Osmar Stabile’s board has accelerated a squad reset, handing senior chances to several youngsters. Alongside Dias, Kaio Lopes, Vinícius Paiva and Davi Santos have debuted in 2026.
His pathway also cleared after winger Kevin Willian left only three months after signing, citing personal issues and finding it hard to adapt to the professional game following time in grassroots and amateur sides.
The victory kept Corinthians perfect in the Paulista, three wins from three. They are third with nine points, and have two games fewer than leaders Magnus on 13.
Dias has the chance to build on his bow on Saturday at 18:30, when Corinthians visit Atlântico Erechim at Ginásio do Galo in Rio Grande do Sul in the seventh round of the Liga Nacional de Futsal.
