Vini Jr has confirmed he is in talks with Real Madrid over a new contract on the eve of their Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the forward said he enjoys a strong relationship with president Florentino Pérez and hopes an agreement will be reached soon so he can continue at his dream club. He noted he still has one year left on his deal and feels calm because he has the president’s backing.
He added that he and those around him are clear about their intentions, and that renewal will happen at the right time to allow him to stay. He said he is happy every day he is at the club and wants to remain for many years.
Vini Jr is under contract until June 2027, meaning from January next year he could sign a pre-contract with any club. Madrid are working against the clock to extend his stay.
The former Flamengo forward has found form again this season and was among Madrid’s standouts against Manchester City in the last 16. Since Álvaro Arbeloa took charge, he has impressed, making 44 appearances with 17 goals and 13 assists in 2025/26.
With Vini Jr available, Real Madrid face Bayern on Tuesday in the first leg of the quarter-finals. Kick-off is at 16:00 Brasília time at the Santiago Bernabéu.
