Vinicius Jr Sparks Tensions at Real Madrid Over Mbappe Level Demands

The rift between Vinicius Junior & Real Madrid's reportedly deepening as the Brazilian star pushes for major pay rise amid interest from Saudi Arabia with the 2025 /26 season fast approaching.

What’s the Problem?

The 25 year old forward, under contract with Los Blancos until summer 2027, is said to be demanding salary equal to Kylian Mbappe’s in order to consider contract extension.

According to Sport, Vinicius currently earns around 20 million euro per year while Mbappe pockets 30 million euro. The Brazilian's now seeking at least 25 million euro plus bonuses and privileges something his camp sees as “a matter of fairness”

Madrid’s Reluctance and Saudi Pressure

Despite the pressure, Real Madrid remains firm and unwilling to rush negotiations. Reports suggest Florentino Perez might step in personally to break the deadlock but the club is in no hurry.

Their long term goal remains to extend Vinicius deal until 2030 as part of Xabi Alonso’s new sporting project.

At the same time, Saudi clubs are reportedly preparing historic 350 million euro offer to lure Vinicius , one of the biggest bids in football history.

Vinicius's faced heavy criticism from fans this season especially after lackluster 2024 Club World cup where he scored once and assisted another in 6 match. His struggle to build chemistry with Mbappe's only fueled doubts within the coaching staff.
