Vinicius Junior is set to turn down interest from Saudi Arabia and sign a new long-term contract with Real Madrid.

The Brazil international has evolved into one of world football’s finest talents with the Spanish side. Since arriving from Flamengo in 2018, the 24-year-old has scored 105 goals in 311 appearances for Real Madrid.

He scored crucial goals in the club’s Champions League final wins in 2022 and 2024 and was last year named as The Best FIFA Men’s Player and the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.

Saudi Pro League sides had been interested in launching a record-breaking move to bring the Brazilian to the big-spending league. It had been reported an offer of €1 billion was on the table for Vinicius should he make a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

However, Cadena SER are reporting that Vinicius will turn down the approaches from Saudi sides and commit to a new deal at the Bernabeu. The contract with Real Madrid will run until either 2029 or 2030.
