The representatives of Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. have moved to deny the claims of progress in negotiations between the parties regarding a contract renewal.

This comes amid the assurance that the Brazilian is no closer to committing his long-term future to Los Blancos.

Vinícius’ name has reemerged as a prominent one in the media chatter in Spain’s capital over recent days, after word was forthcoming that the winger was inching towards signing a new deal.

Talks between ‘Viní’ and the brass at the Bernabéu have been ongoing for some time now, culminating in inevitable chatter surrounding the 25-year-old’s future.

And if the latest update on the situation to have surfaced over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, then such chatter is unlikely to come to an end any time soon.

As per a report from COPE:

‘Vinicius’s entourage assures that there is no news regarding his contractual situation at Real Madrid. There has been no contact since before the summer and there is no date for new conversations.’
