The way the FC Barcelona team is playing is raising a lot of hope among the fans as they get closer to the end of the season. The Catalans are currently one of the best-performing teams in Europe and are competing for three major titles, i.e., the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and the Copa del Rey.
In addition to the possibility of trophies, another factor that would be exciting the Blaugrana fans as they reach the end of this season is the work undergoing at the Spotify Camp Nou. The historical stadium is expected to be opened at the end of the season, albeit only at a 60% capacity.
In the meantime, work is being done on the construction project to ensure this deadline is not missed once again, with 3000 workers engaged by the Turkish construction company Limak currently working on the construction site.
Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, the latest images from FC Barcelona’s fixed camera show visible progress in the Camp Nou pitch installation. The current focus of activities is the digging of drainage trenches, where pipes will be placed to drain the surface when needed. This is one of the preliminary steps before the installation of the grass on the pitch.

This grass and its associated irrigation system is expected to be present on the pitch in the coming 7 weeks, i.e., by mid-April, as confirmed by the Director of Operations at Espai Barca, Joan Sentelles.
Work is being done on the stadium at full speed, as the Blaugranes have obtained permission from the City Council to work full 24 hours for 6 days a week, mainly to compensate for the time lost due to some unseen circumstances.
The stadium can be opened even before the end of the season, as Barcelona are hopeful of holding the El Clasico in May at Camp Nou, even though the stadium might not be at its optimal condition at that time.
