Two series to end in Women's Bundesliga

It's time for matchday seven in the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga! Our girls faces a challenge this Saturday at 14:00 CEST against LASK, a team sitting next to them in the standings. The match will take place at the OÖFV association complex, with referee Admir Hasanovic officiating, and the game will be broadcast on both ÖFB TV and Laola1.

Getting back to winning ways - that is the motto for both teams heading into this clash in the Upper Austrian state capital. The Steel City side have been waiting for a league win since 1 August, while our team secured their last three points a week later on Matchday 2. In both instances, the opponents were FC Blau-Weiß Linz/Kleinmünchen. After a four-week absence, the team that finished third in the qualification group last season is returning to home turf and is eager to snap their negative streak. After all, our Salzburg side are unbeaten and conceded no goals in the three head-to-head meetings during the 2025/26 season: we booked our spot in the ÖFB Women's Cup final with a 2–0 win in April, having previously won 3–0 in the league and drawn 0–0 at home.

Dusan Pavlovic’s side put in a solid performance last week and the only area clearly in need of improvement during the match against SCR Altach was the conversion of chances. This time, the aim is to get both aspects right and celebrate a win again after four consecutive Bundesliga defeats. The statistics offer hope - the Linz side have lost nine of their 13 home matches since the start of the 2025/26 season.
