Vitor Pereira begins his Nottingham Forest tenure under the floodlights at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, boosted by Murillo’s return to contention for the Europa League meeting with Fenerbahçe.

According to Turkish-Football.com, Pereira said: “Murillo has recovered well from his calf problem and is in contention to play against Fenerbahçe on Thursday evening.”

The Brazilian has been sidelined since a calf injury in training before Forest’s defeat at Leeds United. Rumours of interest from Chelsea or Liverpool persist for the summer, though Pereira’s focus is immediate.

He must decide whether to start the defender in Istanbul or manage his minutes with Sunday’s Premier League match against Liverpool at the City Ground in mind. Medical staff will weigh the risk.

Forest have struggled without him, and stand-in Morato has not matched his passing range or physical presence. If selected, Murillo’s composure on the ball could be decisive in hostile surroundings.
