Vitor Pereira says Nottingham Forest will not be distracted by Leeds United or other strugglers after a 3-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur pulled them three points clear of the drop.
“It’s not about anyone else! It’s about us and what we want to be as a team.” He told BBC Radio Nottingham.
“It’s not about Tottenham, it’s not about West Ham, and it’s not about Leeds. I want us to play without fear and with confidence.”
Leeds drew 0-0 with Brentford and 18th-placed West Ham lost 2-0 at Aston Villa. Forest also moved above Tottenham into 16th and are one point behind Leeds.
Leeds have not won since beating Forest 3-1 in early February and have gone four games without a goal. Their run-in looks the most favourable, with all of the bottom four still to play, including Wolves and Burnley at Elland Road plus trips to Tottenham and West Ham.
For now, 13 Leeds players are on international duty, with an FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham in just under two weeks and a league return at Manchester United eight days later.
