Palmeiras held double sessions on Wednesday and have lined up two training matches for Thursday, hosting União São João at 10:00 and Inter de Limeira at 15:00, according to Globo.com.
In the morning, forward Vitor Roque advanced again in his recovery and, although still in physical transition, trained throughout with the group. He underwent left ankle surgery in May and is moving closer to a return.
Abel Ferreira's staff split the squad into two teams of 11, made changes during the drill, and ran game simulations and specific strategies in a session just over an hour.
Players lunched and rested at the training centre before resuming at 15:00, when the squad honed set pieces at both ends. The training matches take place only on Thursday.
Only Jefté worked indoors. The full-back is in the first stage of recovery from knee surgery and is expected to return at the end of the year.
Recent friendlies brought wins over Mauaense 6-0, Primavera 3-1 and Juventus 3-1, plus an intra-squad game won 3-0 by the white team.
This is Palmeiras' final full week of preparation. They are back next Wednesday, away to Coritiba in the Brasileirão. The leaders have 41 points, six ahead of Flamengo, who have a game in hand.
