Vitória beat São Paulo 2-0 at Estádio Manoel Barradas on Saturday to climb from 14th to 11th in the Brasileirão, with the visitors dropping to third.

In the 35th minute Cacá swept in after Nathan Mendes headed a set piece back across goal.

Lucas Arcanjo made five saves, including sharp stops from Artur, to keep Leão da Barra in front.

Tricolor Paulista were reduced to ten when Lucas Ramon was sent off (54.). Erick then struck the right post from a free kick (78.).

Ramon settled it with a low left-footer to the far corner (83.), teed up by Gabriel Baralhas.

Tricolor Paulista registered 16 attempts and six corners as they chased a response. Leão da Barra produced 15 attempts, hitting the target six times.
