Dani Vivián has now been out for 53 days and did not rejoin group training yesterday. He is set to miss Elche and is not expected back until after the international break. Athletic resume on 11 October at Rayo.

The club announced on 16 July an insertional injury to the adductor longus in his right leg. According to El Correo, he has not played a minute in pre-season or La Liga since that update.

The timing of the setback was not specified, and the issues appear to date back to the end of last season. No public recovery timeline has been given, and the lay-off is already longer than first anticipated.
