Odysseas Vlachodimos wants to stay at Sevilla next season, with the club also working on Diego Conde. According to Informe Morrocotudo, the Greece international has told the hierarchy he is happy at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán and wishes to continue.
A reshuffle in goal looms after the exits of Örjan Nyland and Vlachodimos were confirmed. Muchodeporte reports that Conde, 27, is not in Íñigo Pérez’s plans at Villarreal, where starts are expected to go to Luiz Júnior or Arnau Tenas, and that he has two other offers, one from LaLiga and another from a side newly relegated to Segunda.
Vlachodimos’ stance aids Sevilla but any deal would require talks with Newcastle United, who hold his registration. The British club paid 24 million euros to Nottingham Forest in 2024 and are likely to seek a significant sum.
Sevilla continue to track keepers on favourable terms or short of minutes, with Conde among them.
Conde is contracted to Villarreal until June 2029 yet third-choice status points to a move. The outcome of both cases will shape a squad that must compete at a high level on limited resources. If Vlachodimos becomes attainable he would be the choice, otherwise Conde remains in reserve.
