Vlahovic ‘agrees’ three-year Besiktas deal to reunite with Italiano | OneFootball

Dusan Vlahovic has agreed a three-year contract with Besiktas, reports in Türkiye say, in a move that would reunite him with Vincenzo Italiano.

A Spor reports that Besiktas chief Serdal Adali flew to Belgrade to finalise the paperwork, and is due to land at Istanbul’s Ataturk General Aviation Terminal on Wednesday August 12 at 2.30pm local time.

The centre-forward became a free agent when his Juventus deal expired on June 30. He had anticipated offers from Milan, Napoli and Roma, plus Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United, but none met his salary demands.

The contract is set to be worth eight million euros per season, with performance-related bonuses that could lift it to 10 million. A large signing-on fee for Vlahovic and his agent is also envisaged.

Italiano has long sought to work with him again after overseeing the most prolific spell of his Fiorentina career. Joining Besiktas would take the 26-year-old Serbia international out of Serie A.

Vlahovic arrived at Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in 2018, then was sold to Juventus for €85.4 million in January 2022 amid a contract dispute.
