Völler on Klopp: “We have to give him the time he needs” | OneFootball

Rudi Völler has urged patience with Jürgen Klopp following the new Germany head coach's first game in charge.

Germany drew 1-1 with the Netherlands in Klopp's debut, but Völler believes the new coach should be given time to develop his team.

"We have to be patient with Jürgen Klopp and the team," Völler said. The DFB sporting director stressed that building a successful national team does not happen overnight.

At the same time, Völler highlighted the importance of results for Germany's relationship with its supporters.

"Victories are good to take the people along," he said.

Klopp will have his first opportunity to record a win at home when Germany face Greece in their second Nations League match. The game will also give the 59-year-old another chance to implement his ideas after just a few days of preparation for his first international break.
