Grêmio have terminated Tiago Volpi’s contract, and the club also confirmed exits for Jemerson and Carballo.

According to Globo.com, the goalkeeper is in advanced talks with Red Bull Bragantino, and a decision on the move should come soon.

The termination followed a financial settlement over signing-on fees from his arrival. Those sums effectively complemented the salary agreed in his deal. Grêmio cleared the debt, and Volpi gave up part of what he was due until December 2026 in exchange for his release.

Volpi started the 14 January defeat to São José, then was omitted from the squad for the game against São Luiz. He stayed with the group and trained as normal on Tuesday at CT Luiz Carvalho.

He was Grêmio’s first-choice goalkeeper last season, but the hierarchy changed under new head coach Luís Castro. Weverton, from Palmeiras, arrived to be the starter, and reserve Gabriel Grando renewed his contract for four years.
