Sandro Tonali and Joelinton were also both instrumental in the win, working tirelessly in the middle of the park.
Meanwhile, Aaron Ramsdale started the clash in between the sticks and made a number of crucial saves, denying Matheus Cunha and Kobbie Mainoo in the first-half, as well as Lenny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee in the second period.
