Tabakovic, Konate, Boma and Veratschnig on shortlist

It's time again for you to choose our Player of the Month award! August was long and intense, but it brought with it plenty of fantastic football moments – and an absolute dilemma in choosing between so many deserving candidates. Here they are:

Haris Tabakovic

Five goals in our four Europa League qualifying matches, plus the goal against Austria Vienna – the Bosnian's impressive goalscoring record speaks for itself this month.

Karim Konate

Karim also provided plenty of goal involvements. He scored the winning goal against Hartberg, the first goal in the 3-0 victory against WSG Tirol was his, and in the match against Mjällby, he not only provided the assist in the 1-0 first-leg win but also scored a brace in the second leg

Kevin Boma

With five clean sheets, our new defensive leader practically nominated himself. The truth is: almost every defender deserved it this month, and the 23-year-old is representative of the entire Red Bulls defence. Furthermore, Kevin provided the crucial assist for the equalising goal in the 1-1 draw at WAC.

Nikolas Veratschnig

Wearing the captain's armband, the Austrian was always full steam ahead on the right flank. Solid at the back, and a constant threat going forward: he recorded an assist each against Mjällby and Austria Vienna – all in all, making for a very strong month.
