Mazurek, Schmid, Veratschnig or Tabakovic on short list

We’ve had a successful September, and now it’s time for you to vote for our Player of the Month once again. One thing is for sure - the successes of recent weeks were down to strong team performances. That makes picking just four nominees all the more difficult. Here are this month’s candidates:

Bartosz Mazurek

The 19-year-old Pole has fully settled in and has become the focal point of our midfield play. He scored in the cup match against St. Pölten, provided two assists against Rapid and another against Sturm, and played a superb part in the build-up to the winning goal against Levski Sofia. It is no surprise that you voted him Man of the Match during our away win in the UEFA Europa League.

Dominik Schmid

There is nothing like Swiss quality on the left flank. Defensively, Schmid didn't let a single opponent get past him in September, and he was equally effective in attack - such as during the winning goal in Sofia or with his assist against Sturm Graz.

Nikolas Veratschnig

Officially named our captain this month, the Austrian international has backed up the appointment with his on-field performances. He has two goals to his name - against Rapid and Sturm Graz - and was a key asset throughout the full 90 minutes of every match, with one exception - he played only 56 minutes in the cup.

Haris Tabakovic

Last month's winner is back! The Bosnian’s scoring rate was phenomenal once again in September. He netted the winning goal in the UEFA Europa League opener in Sofia, and also scored in the cup match against St. Pölten as well as bagging a brace against Rapid
