Frosinone forward Walid Cheddira felt optimistic about his future after scoring a brace against his parent club Napoli to earn a draw.
Speaking in the Frosinone-Napoli post-match press conference to Sky Italia via Calcio Napoli 24, Walid Cheddira was jubilant after netting a brace against his parent club Napoli. He is pushing to be a squad player for the Partenopei next season as he is currently on loan at Frosinone. The 26-year-old said: “Scoring goals in this stadium [Stadio Diego Armando Maradona] is nice, I hope to do it also with the Napoli shirt”
The hosts took the lead twice during the match but were pegged back both times. Matteo Politano and Victor Osimhen were on the scoresheet for the Neapolitans but they will leave this match frustrated as their dreams of playing in Europe next season are fading away. As for Frosinone, this draw keeps them just afloat in the race for survival but they do not have their destiny in their own hands.
Walid Cheddira reflected on the draw and how it will affect Frosinone’s goals. He said: “We know we have to fight for every ball, these matches weigh a lot. We will give our all to achieve salvation.”
