Moroccan coach Walid Regragui could be heading to Saudi Arabia once he has terminated his contract with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).

Rumored to be on his way out, the former Toulouse FC player has yet to reach an agreement with Morocco's football authority to bring their partnership to an end.

According to Saudi sources, the "Atlas Lions" manager is highly regarded by Al Ittihad, who are reportedly very keen to sign him as a replacement for Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição.

Currently ranked 5th in the Saudi Pro League, trailing leaders Al Nassr by 19 points, the club—known as the 'doyen' in Saudi Arabia—has managed just 12 wins from 24 matches in the 2025-2026 Saudi Pro League campaign.

As a reminder, Walid Regragui already had a rather mixed stint in the Gulf, having coached Qatari side Al Duhail. He was dismissed from his position in October 2010, just 10 months after his appointment.
