Walid Regragui said a cruciate ligament rupture is suspected for Hamza Igamane after the Lille forward was forced off in Morocco's 1-0 AFCON final defeat by Senegal.

According to L'Équipe, Igamane came on in the 98th minute.

He then had to leave at half-time of extra time with a serious knee problem, leaving Morocco to finish with 10 men as they chased an equaliser.

Regragui, who voiced anger at how the match unfolded, said late on Sunday that his medical staff held that suspicion. He noted Morocco could have won in added time if Brahim Diaz had converted a penalty.

If confirmed, a cruciate ligament injury would rule Igamane out for months for Lille and Morocco.
