According to a report from Foot Mercato journalist Sébastien Denis, Waniss Taïbi (23) is set to leave Rodez AF this summer for Hannover 96 on a transfer that will see the Ligue 2 side receive €1 million plus bonuses and a percentage sell-on fee.
The former France youth international missed only two games this season for Les Sangs et Or (the defeats in the league to En Avant Guingamp and Amiens SC), making 33 appearances across all competitions as he helped the Ligue 2 side to safety.
His performances in midfield have attracted interest, and with only a year left on his contract, Hannover have acted quickly to try and secure his services. The Bundesliga 2 side will hope that he can help return them back to the Bundesliga, after a six-year exodus from the top flight.
Taïbi joined Rodez in 2023 from his training club, Angers SCO. It was with Le SCO that the Frenchman earned his professional debut in 2021, where he made a substitute appearance in the 5-0 victory over Club Franciscain in the Coupe de France.
