The first-team squad at La Liga giants Barcelona on Thursday moved to reveal their appreciation for one particular member of Hansi Flick’s squad.

The player in question? Alejandro Balde.

Defender Balde, for his part, featured from the off once more last weekend, as Barcelona played host to Leganés in a La Liga clash.

What was lost amid the overwhelming disappointment of an eventual 1-0 defeat for the Blaugrana, however, is the fact as much marked the left-back’s 100th senior appearance for the club.

With the dust having now settled on the result, and Barca’s stars back in the thick of preparations for an upcoming showdown with Atlético Madrid, though, Balde today had his moment.

This came as the youngster was presented with a personalised jersey by way of captain Marc-André ter Stegen, whilst the rest of his teammates showcased their support by way of applause.

The shirt in question, featuring Balde’s name and the number 100, was in turn held up by the player for a special photo, with the scene at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper showcased below:
