Following their tense 1-0 home win over relegated Burnley on Monday night, that leaves Arsenal with an unassailable four-point lead at the summit heading into the final day of the season this weekend, when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Arsenal’s players and staff celebrated the title triumph in unforgettable scenes at their London Colney training base, while scores of fans descended upon the Emirates Stadium to revel in a truly special night in the club’s long history.

Right in amongst those celebrations in north London was Arsenal icon Wright, who was seen singing and jumping for joy alongside jubilant supporters as he sported a new Arsenal home shirt and scarf.

Other ex-Arsenal stars saluted the achievement on social media, with former long-serving Gunners defender Martin Keown posting a video to X alongside former team-mate and fellow member of the 2003/04 ‘Invincibles’, Ray Parlour.

“Come on Arsenal, lovely moment,” Keown says to the camera. “Congratulations to the boys, absolutely amazing. Gallant effort from Man City, but we were the best team.

“Let’s enjoy it while we can. Champions League here we come.”

Parlour says: “Yes, come on. We’ve done it, we’ve done it. Everyone has doubted us. Come on the Arsenal. Absolutely deserved, well done boys. Where is my champagne?”

Arsenal’s initial video posted on social media to celebrate their title featured a message from ‘Invincibles’ boss Arsene Wenger, who said: “You did it. Champions go on when others stop. This is your time. Now, go on and enjoy every moment.”

Also contained within that video is the first words on the title win from current manager Mikel Arteta, who said: “We made history again, together. I cannot be happier, prouder for everybody that is involved in this football club. Let's enjoy the moment.”

Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith said on Sky Sports: “Brilliant, brilliant, fully deserved.

“Obviously, they’ve had their moments in the last few seasons where they’ve come second, but you deserve to win it if you finish top.

“They’ve had the best defence. They haven’t had the best attack – you’d probably say City have got the best attack – but, as an overall unit, Mikel Arteta’s done brilliantly well. I’m really pleased for my old club.”

Ex-Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman wrote on X: “Premier League champions!!! What a moment!!! What a season!!!!!!!! EPIC!!!!!!!!!! Longest (22 years and ) three minutes of MY LIFE…”
