Real Madrid are well on their way to cutting the gap between themselves and Barcelona for the third successive matchday. Having taken the lead on the half hour mark, they have now doubled their advantage over Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It was Jude Bellingham that opened the scoring from the penalty spot, and with a few minutes to go until half time, Real Madrid have gone 2-0 in front courtesy of a very good goal from Kylian Mbappe.
On this occasion, it is Bellingham that has turned provider as he played a fine through ball to Mbappe, who collected well before curling a lovely strike in off the post.
Mbappe has been under pressure in recent weeks, and especially so after the costly penalty miss against Liverpool in the Champions League during the week. That goal should do him the world of good, as he aims to kick-start his career at Real Madrid.
