Having rejected the chance to join Celtic this summer, Rennes young full-back Brandon Soppy is subject to an approach from Watford and Udinese, both clubs being owned by the Pozzo family.
No agreement has yet been found but the fee is expected to be around the €2m mark, according to L‘Équipe.
Fellow Ligue 1 clubs Stade Reims have also shown an interest in the 19-year-old right-sided defender with Udinese the favourites to land the player who’s deal at Rennes ends next summer. He has been offered an extension but found it unconvincing while Rennes coach Bruno Génésio is preparing Lorenz Assignon to become Hamari Traoré’s understudy this season.
