According to BBC UK, Watford have taken Leicester City forward Stephy Mavididi and Strasbourg defender Soumaila Coulibaly on season-long loans, and signed striker Myron Boadu on a free transfer.

Mavididi was a key figure in Leicester’s Championship-winning campaign in 2023-24, but the 28-year-old has made only one appearance this season since their relegation into League One.

Coulibaly, 22, came through the Paris St-Germain academy, had a spell with Borussia Dortmund in Germany, and joined Strasbourg last summer. He spent much of last season on loan at fellow Ligue 1 side Brest.

Boadu, a one-cap Netherlands international aged 25, left PSV Eindhoven at the end of last season. He previously featured for AZ Alkmaar and Monaco.

The trio bolster a Hornets side sitting 13th following a 2-0 defeat at Swansea City.
