Born in Peterborough, Waylon Renecke developed his skills at Norwich City before moving to Danish side FC Copenhagen. Versatile and strong in one-on-one duels, the central defender is also known for his aerial ability and his composure when building from the back.

Waylon Renecke expressed his excitement in his first words upon arriving in Sweden:

I’m really happy to be here. I want to thank the coach and the sporting director for this opportunity. My goal is to develop in a winning environment and contribute to the team.

This loan move represents a crucial step in the defender’s development, who has already featured for South Africa’s youth national teams.
