Barcelona president Joan Laporta hailed his team’s collective performance after their 3-2 victory over Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final in Jeddah.

Barcelona retained the Super Cup title on Sunday night avenging their earlier La Liga Clasico defeat and lifting the trophy under new head coach Hansi Flick.

“We have a team that plays wonderful football,” Laporta told Movistar. “It was a great final. The players showed huge commitment. We are all part of this success, we are truly one family. The players, their families, their parents… they are young and this mix we have now is bearing fruit.”
